Vintage Russian Black Lacquer Box, Forest Bears Hand Painted

Description

This is a black lacquer Fedoskino box with a forest scene painted on the lid with 4 black bears after an i
conic scene by Ivan Ivanovich Shishkin (1832- 1898) titled "Morning in a Pine Forest"
. It is signed in both bottom left and bottom right of the scene possibly in Russian. It measures 5 3/4” x 4” x 1 3/4” tall and has a red lacquer interior. Two corners of the lid have moderate chips on the edge and there are minor dings elsewhere. It is otherwise in very good condition.
