We are double bass specialists with more than 50 basses in stock at any moment. One of our best selling bass accessories is our Scott Russ custom made bass pickup/magnetic bass pickup which can be installed on any size bass. You can play at a high volume next to your amp without feedback. It has great low, mid. and high  frequencies. It is very versatile.  You can EQ it to  give any sound from a great woody jazz sound or a rockabilly  sound or even an Ampeg Baby bass sound(salsa). You can change the volume while you are playing and never miss a beat because the volume control is next to your thumb.  All four sides are spring mounted so that you can adjust the height to get an even volume balance for all four strings.  For use with metal strings only. Needs to be screwed onto the underside of the fingerboard or drill one hole and bolt it down(bolt included). We install them for many of our customers. And rave reviews every time!

Scott Russ Music is a family owned and operated retail music store /custom shop and have been serving the New York metropolitan area since 1947. We have only professional musicians on staff and maintain a fully staffed repair facility on premises. We are authorized Hammond organ dealers and repair technicians.
With more than 40 upright basses in stock we also maintain a pro bass shop on premises.
These basses are set up here in our own shop by our head luthier for optimum playability. The new adjustable bridges are cut, fingerboards carved, nuts recut or replaced. Every bass also receives a ToneRite vibration-tone treatment.
We are family owned and operated since 1947. From 1947-1953, my father and mother, Don and Sandra Russo were the original Ampeg amplifier company with the owner Everett Hull. From 1957-1964, we were the original Fender service center for the east coast. We are an A+ rated accredited business with the Better Business Bureau. We service many professionals and over 200 churches.
