FOR AUCTION: Rubner Upright Bass - 1960s Vintage Rubner Double Bass
1960s Rubner double bass, fully carved 3/4 size German contrabass ready for the conservatory, string section or bandstand, just refurbished by Upton Bass.
It came in as a 5 string…BUT… this was a four-string bass someone decided to turn into a 5 string bass without modifying its interior.
The result? A failing top being crushed under the added weight. So, we took off the top, removed the bass bar, fixed the structural problems, and did a full edge double & new bar. We brought it back to its four-string glory as these Rubners always end up being a workshop favorite. She may have a few scars, but sounds soooo good!!

eBay should be calculating all shipping costs, with the exception of DOUBLE BASSES.  Instruments ship by FREIGHT carriers and rates must be calculated by hand based on your area.  Please contact us PRIOR to bidding for a shipping estimate.
Delivery time:
