  • Condition: This game is working 100% and it is about the nicest Galaxian I have ever owned, and probably ever seen. It is running on entirely original hardware, and plays perfect. It still has the original monitor installed and has no burn. I rebuilt the monitor myself, and the picture is perfect. The controls work well. The marquee bulbs have been replaced with new LED bulbs. I have installed a new lock on the front coin door. The game still has the original back door lock and key. The cabinet has no water damage. The paint has been touched up in places, but it looks very good. Has 2 working quarter coin mechs and original coin box. New T-molding. The marquee is perfect, and the bezel and control panel are in very good condition - all original parts. There are not aftermarket parts on this game, it is pretty much all original. You won't find a nicer original Galaxian.

    Description

    WORKING DESCRIPTION:
This game is working perfectly.  It still has the original 19" Electrohome monitor installed, and the tube has virtually NO screen burn.  I rebuilt the monitor, so it should work reliably for decades. The game is running on all original hardware and works perfectly.  It is worth mentioning how remarkable it is for this game to have almost no screen burn.  I mean this game came out in 1979, right around Pac Man.  This is when games made an absolute fortune...and Galaxian was a successful game.  This should have been out on location for 10-20 years, turned on for most of that time.  This game has barely been on at all.  I can't explain how this is possible.  Well, I could guess I suppose.  This operator from whom I purchased the game may have not had many locations, or lost some locations, and this ended up sitting in the warehouse instead of at an account.  Or maybe he was just lazy and didn't like soliciting accounts.  I don't know, but I do know that I have never seen an original Galaxian with original monitor and no burn.  And I've seen dozens if not hundreds of Galaxians.  It's like a city buying a new bus for their public transportation system, but just leaving it in the garage and it still having the original tires with no tread wear 40 years later.  Anyway....
This game does have new LED bulbs behind the marquee and a new coin door lock.
The controls work great and it plays just like it did back in 1979!  The game comes with 2 working quarter coin mechs and the original cash box.  This game is ready to go right out on the street or into your arcade to start making quarters.
CONDITION and RATINGS for THIS SPECIFIC MACHINE:
Cosmetically, this game is in excellent condition.  The marquee and bezel are original and in excellent condition.  It is VERY rare to find a Galaxian with a perfect marquee.  Usually they are either scratched, faded, flaking, or have a weird bubbling thing going on.  I don't know what the "disease" is that destroys Galaxian marquees, but the majority of mine have the disease.  This one, however, is perfect.
The cabinet is solid and in very very good shape.  The artwork has been touched up in places but looks very good overall.
The Control panel overlay is in great condition, and it original.  In fact all of the artwork on this game is original - no repro artwork.
The coin door is excellent and has new locks, coin mechs, and the original coin box.  You could not find a nicer Galaxian dedicated game.
The game actually still has the original back door and original back door lock and key.
If you need any more pictures or have any questions, please let me know - I'm happy to answer.

    LOCATION:
This game is located in sunny, beautiful downtown McLean, IL 61754.  That's right...in the heart of Classic Arcade World where Arcadia: America's Playable Arcade Museum, Pinball Paradise, and Hotel Arcadia are located!  I suggest buying this game and then making its pickup a fun family road trip!  We have over 140 playable games and luxurious arcade-themed lodging options.  Contact me for more details or look for hotel Arcadia on airbnb.
    SHIPPING:
Included in the price is FREE WHITE GLOVE SHIPPING from North American Van Lines.  They will bring it right inside your house (ground floor only).  This is for the 48 contiguous United States only.  If you want this shipped internationally, it will cost extra and we will have to discuss it and get a shipping quote before you pull the trigger.
Regarding shipping time, North American Van Lines only picks up from my location once a week.  So shipping will probably take between 7 and 14 days depending on where you are in the country.  In some rare cases possibly longer.
For what it's worth, I have been collecting (hoarding) games for over 30 years and selling them on eBay since about 1997. I have probably shipped two thousand games (many but not all on eBay), from individual games to full containers.  You won't find a more reputable seller...check my feedback.  Unfortunately, I cannot provide a money-back guarantee on this just because a lot can happen in shipping.  What I CAN guarantee is that if you pick the game up, or if not when the game leaves my hands, it will be exactly as described and photoed above.  And in 30 years of selling, I have never left anyone in the lurch or ripped anyone off.  I'm a fair, honest guy...ask anyone.
