German Double Bass ca. 1910 Completely Restored

Description

This beautiful instrument is a fully carved double bass from Germany and has been completely restored in 2017. It has a new neck(from Germany) and fingerboard, new gears, a new bridge and tailpiece wire. The back has been removed, braces reattached plus new “X” braces for more support to the back plate. It has a 41.75 string length and a very comfortable setup. It sounds clear and even both arco and pizzicato. This bass has an amber oil varnish and is in excellent repair. It is a professional level instrument that would be great for an advanced conservatory student or improviser. It is very comfortable for access to the upper register the sound projects in a  concentrated fashion. The setup is perfect for arco and pizzicato playing and the sound profile is adaptable to all musical genres.
The action is set for ease of playing without sacrificing sound and projection.
