    Description

Back on the market. Circa 1880 Tyrolean flatback with loads of character in sound and looks. The bass has a new neck block, new bass bar, new back bracing, rib reinforcement, thick ebony board (no bevel), touch up varnish, updated overstand and projection, 19th century hat peg tuners, super nice KC Strings endpin, ebony edge protecters. The Eb neck is straight, stiff, and solid. Very old and seasoned tone that I used professionally on many recordings and a couple thousand gigs. I always get complimented on its tone.
It records very well too, always plenty of foundation and clarity in the notes. Engineers love it because it makes their job easy and we all know miking an upright is not easy. Currently strung with Spirocore Weichs although I have various other sets I could throw on. I also have a winter and summer soundpost. Check out the videos and pics. The bass is located in Jersey City and available to see.
